11Feb04 - Lauched a new WebSite, www.icewebring.com. My plans are to slowly move most of the Roleplaying material off of Brent's Basement and onto the new site. The sites will remain tightly linked, and to start with, alot of the material will be duplicated on both sites.

20Dec03 - Started stripping out font tags and beginning conversion of pages to us Cascading Style sheets. Intentionally using some pretty horrible colors to easily see which text is being affected by which settings. Overall goal is to switch pages from black backgrounds white backgrounds.

Corrected the product numbers on two of the Shadow World modules on the Full Product List (thanks Doug!). Started converting the pages to use server side includes (ssi). Not included in the main pages yet as they require renaming to .shtml extensions. RPG Resources and Gaming Resources are my test pages. Also want to try out some style sheets with them.

Posted the beginning of an article that examines the RM2 Companions and analyzes which material is still usable in RMSS/RMFRP. Recently trimmed back the number of Karate Photos on the Photos page, they are all available on Joanne's page anyway so I didn't need to duplicate them here. Just kept the ones I really like and rearranged them into the other photo pages.

Moved Joanne's page to it's own domain, www.joanneadamson.com. Latest additions are a bunch of new photos from the November karate tournament and December's karate Grading (I made purple belt!)

The All Canadian Karate Union just put up a Web Page, so added a link to it off this page. Still haven't finished the review of the Sidekick Companion. Hopefully I'll get it done either this weekend or next.

Happy New Year! Work has been a zoo for the last week, so haven't done much. Went and saw Joan Jett & the BlackHearts and Def Leppard last night, thanks to my brother for the ticket for Christmas! A great show! Changed the link for the Top 100 Science Fiction/Fantasy list on the book review page as the original page seems to have gone AWOL. I found another site that had a copy and have linked to that. I'll have to see if the original comes back.

Started the review of the new Character Law supplement for Rolemaster. It's nnot quite halfway finished, I doubt it will make the January issue of the Guild Companion, should make it for February though. I may want to do a compainion article on Rolemaster Basics, as most of my Rolemaster reviews assume that the reader is somewhat familiar with the system, which is probably not always true.

I set up the movie review page and did the first review, of "The Green Mile". i still want to add a little more to the review, it's a bit sparse at the moment. I really should at least include a short summary of what the movies about.

Finished the book review for Lady of Hay, put in graphics for the rest of the books and fixed up a few typos in the reviews. Rearranged where the graphics for the book reviews are stored, hopefully I didn't lose any! Saw "The Green Mile" last night, excellent movie, probably the best of the year, go see it! It's good enough to actually inspire me to finally get my movie review page going, I'm going to write it up tomorrow.

Looks like the review of The Blood of Heroes didn't make it into the December issue of the Guild Companion. Look for it in January 2000 along with the review for the SideKick Sourcebook, or read it here first!. Set a new monthly record for hits on my site last month, 313, hopefully most people are finding something they like here. Started a new book that a workmate lent me, Lady of Hay by Barbara Erskine. Made the initial entry for this on the Book Review page. So I've bumped Tigana yet again, and I just picked up the newest Terry Pratchit book, which are always hard to resist! I think it's time to add an index to the Book Review page. Maybe this weekend. And, yes, the Stamps lost to the Hamilton Tiger Cats in the Grey Cup. Better luck next year when we host it!

Finished up the review of The Blood of Heroes RPG and sent it off to the Guild Companion, hopefully it will squeak into the December issue. This company basically licensed the system that used to be used by Mayfair Games DC Heros and has rereleased it for thier own setting. As usual, I've also added it to this page. I still need to add it to my Gaming page, and do some clean up of that page as well. But, now it's off to watch the Grey Cup. Go Stamps Go!

Added a new link to the RGP Links page, to Pulsar Games, makers of the Blood of Heros Roleplaying Game, which has licensed the system that Mayfair Games used to use for DC Heroes. Also finished up reviews for "Children of the Mind" by Orson Scott Card and the two new Star Trek New Frontier stories by Peter David, "The Quiet Place" and "Dark Allies". My next projects will be to review the "Blood of Heroes" role playing game, the "SideKick Sourcebook" for Blood of Heroes and the new "Character Law" for Rolemaster and submit the reviews to the Guild Companion (if "Character Law" ever shows up in the mail!). Still haven't done any movie or album reviews, although I did catch the new James Bond flick this week and really enjoyed it. Saw Sleepy Hollow as well, but didn't like it as much. As usual for Tim Burton, it was very visually impressive, with a good musical score by Danny Elfman (of course) but the actual story left something to be desired.

Added a counter to the Book Reviews page. I was the number 1 site in the Top 100 Sites for Rolemaster for October! Of course, I still only had ten votes, but what the heck! :o). Hopefully I'l be able to finish "Children of the Mind" this weekend, if I don't spend it all at work. I'm about half way done and it's been pretty good so far. I've also laid out the pages for Album, Concert, and Movie reviews but haven't actually entered any reviews for them yet. I'm going to see Jennifer Berezan tomorrow, so I'll probably do a review for that, and possibly some reviews for the new 54-40, Fred Eaglesmith, Oscar Lopez and Def Leppard albums soon as well.(Yes, I do like a wide variaty of stuff!)

Switched the background to the "news items" to plain black to make them easier to read. Added a synopsis to some of the stories on the Book Review page awhile ago, along with the completed reviews for "A Clash of Kings" by George R. R. Martin and "Strata" by Terry Pratchett. Put in the synopsis for "Soul of the Fire" by Terry Brooks, but haven't finished reading it yet. Still need to clean up the colors and add addition synopsis for the earlier reviews.

Redid the Guild Companion Index using Access, then exported to html. Now divided according to the classification of the article. The entry page will need some sprucing up, but should work fairly well otherwise.

Finally added a section for Book Reviews, including three reviews to start things off. Really should have been working on the Guild Companion index, but the news that I.C.E. has declared Chapter 11 just depressed me too much to work on Rolemaster related material. (Actually, thats not true, it was reading all the flame wars on the mailing list that kept me from working on it!)

Moved the "Other Stuff" section back over to Compuserve as they let me keep the web space and it was taking up too much room with the photos. Cleaned up the main page for it as well. Pretty sparse at the moment, but hope to change that soon.

Back on-line after a lightning storm toasted some equipment. I've started cleaning up the RolePlaying page, removed the links that were duplicated with the link page and added more documents, mostly character sheets for assorted games. Still need to add some descriptions for these as well as add some additional docs. Also reset the counter to count from March 4 1999 (when I started using counter.com)

Created a seperate page for RPG Links off of the Gaming Section page. I have still left the links at the bottom of the Gaming Page until I test the new link page and still need to do some clean up on that page. Also still waiting for my site to be added to the RoleMaster Webring. The RMFRP article did show up in the August 6th issue of the Guild Companion.

I've rearranged things yet again, splitting the site into two main areas, the first dealing with Roleplaying Games and the Other section which has everything else.  This page will now serve as the Whats New section. Right now there is alot of duplicate information on the entry pages to the two sections as I really just made copies of what used to be here.  I hope to clean them up over the next little while.  The other new thing is a draft of the newest article that I'm doing for the Guildmaster Companion. It's a comparision of RMFRP and RMSS. If you don't know what that means, then the article likely won't interest you.
