Mission Recap: Admiral April Hebert decides to run several of the crew members of the U.S.S. Kimura through a holodeck simulation of a classified encounter that the U.S.S Locksley, an Archer Class scout ship went through over seventy years ago involving the U.S.S. Enterprise, the Klingon Capitan Koloth, tribbles, and the Augment Virus.

The small but mighty Archer Class vessel U.S.S. Locksley has been requested by Capt. Kirk to track Capt Koloth’s new D7 battleship which attached the Enterprise with a new stasis weapon mere hours ago.  Tribbles were used to thwart the attack, more information on Koloth’s next destination and the weapon is wanted. These tribbles were actually genetically engineered tribble colonies that would continue to grow larger until treated.

They follow the trail for three hours then intercept an encrypted message being sent from the I.K.S. Oghwl (Devisor).

“The ‘Oghwl‘ has been compromised and must not be allowed to return to Klingon space. The secret test planned for Sherman’s Planet has been prematurely triggered and has gone terribly wrong. Capitan Koloth…”.
The message is cut short with the sound of a brief struggle, followed by a gurgling sound then abruptly ends.

About 30 minutes later, the warp trail sudden ends. Sensors reveal that the shields are down, the engines are stopped and there are about 90 Klingon life signs on board, much fewer than the 430 or so that should be there.

They also determine:

  • Most of the life signs are weak,
  • There are almost 340 dead Klingons
  • There are many tribbles on board, but only a few large colony tribbles.
  • There is an unidentifiable humanoid size life form aboard.

They beam over to the Klingon ship (did one character beam over first then use the Klingon transporter to beam over everyone else?)

They do some initial investigation in the main computer room then head to Engineering.

They encounter a couple of infected Klingons along the way. They also spot the large Glommer at one point. Madison’s Klingon engineer dispatches a Klingon near death

An Orion salvage team shows up about two hours before more Klingons are due to show up. The Locksley hides in the sensor shadow of the D7

Was there is a brief firefight with the Orions in Engineering?

I recall that the characters beamed back to the Locksley, then one or two beamed back to the D7 and did something, was it locking the stasis beam onto the Orions as the Klingons arrived?

Then they returned to the Locksley and warped away.
