The Marrow Thieves by Cherie Dimaline
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
While I did enjoy the book, it did have some problems. There were only four or five of the characters that got any sort of back story, and just as many in the group that was travelling together that didn’t seem to play a role in the story at all. For example, you could remove Slopper from the story and it wouldn’t change it at all. The background was interesting enough, but, again, not really developed as much as I would have liked.
I enjoyed it enough that I will read the next story in the series, and maybe it will fill in some of the missing pieces from this one.
